How Do Our Injections Work?
Our injections help by releasing hormones that decrease appetite and increase feelings of fullness. Our injections mimic GLP-1, or glucagon-like peptide-1, which regulates appetite and food intake. GLP-1 agonists bind to receptors in the stomach lining, slowing stomach emptying. As the stomach empties slowly, the brain is notified that the stomach is full, which results in a decrease in appetite.
Slim Shots (single agonist; GLP-1) also contain Vitamin B12, which is essential for DNA production, boosts energy, supports brain health, and helps maintain overall metabolic health.
Trim Shot (dual agonist; GLP-1 + GIP) activates receptors of two hormones secreted from the intestine, GLP-1 and GIP, to reduce appetite and food intake. Trim Shots also contain Vitamin B6, which is essential for immune system function, supports brain and heart health, and aids in metabolism.
Retatrutide is a unique injection due to its “TRIPLE agonist” approach. In addition to GLP-1 activity, Retatrutide targets GIP and glucagon receptors to support weight management and metabolic health and it also believed to play a role in energy balance. Early clinical research has shown promising results in weight reduction and metabolic health. Retatrutide is still in clinical development and is not yet FDA-approved.

Frequently Asked Questions
Am I a candidate for weight loss injections?
We recommend scheduling a consultation with our prescribing provider to find out if you are a good candidate for our weight loss injections. It is likely, however, that you are a candidate if you are having difficulty losing weight despite changing your diet and exercising regimen and a weight-related medical problem, such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, etc.
Who would NOT be considered a candidate for GLP-1 Injections?
The use of our medical weight loss injections is not recommended for patients with medullary thyroid cancer, MTC, or MEN 2 endocrine disorders. People with type 1 diabetes shouldn’t take Slim Shot.
How long can I stay on weight loss injections?
The length of the program depends on your weight loss goals as well as the plan you and the provider come up with that best suits you.
Will I be hungry with weight loss injections? What can I eat?
In most cases, patients do not experience uncontrollable hunger. You will feel satisfied even with smaller portions. Slim Shot has no specific restrictions on what you can eat, but it is recommended that you eat a healthy diet to best support your body and the injections together.
Compounded GLP-1s are not regulated or approved by The Food and Drug Administration, FDA, for weight loss. Because of this, compounded GLP-1s aren’t subject to the same rigorous safety standards as FDA-approved Zepbound® and Wegovy®.
There are no clinical trials on compounded GLP-1s, so we can’t guarantee that it works. However, many of our patients taking compounded GLP-1s while also making healthy lifestyle changes report weight loss.
